As I win, so can you.

It’s been months since last I’ve written on this platform and for good reason, I felt I just didn’t know what I wanted to say. I was in transition, literally. I had migrated to the U.K. on another mission. I left my home country to start a new life with my husband in a foreign land, foreign to me anyway. I felt like a fish out of water, a little fish in a big pond is the best way I could describe my feelings, but I was excited about the move. I saw opportunity and I wanted to make the most of it.

When I left my home, the beautiful island of Trinidad and Tobago, I left huge part of who I had worked hard to become, behind. I left my business as a microscopic blood analyst and holistic nutritional therapist behind and stepped into a role that provided a salary, for which I was grateful as I stepped into employment within one month of me entering the country, but for me it held no passion so I resigned two weeks before the COVID-19 lockdown came into effect. Talk about timing but I got even more excited about the prospects of re-energising my business in this country I now called home. I had no regrets. I had every thing in place for the business as behind the scenes I had been fitting my attempt at restarting with the best chances for success and I was ready. Within two weeks of quarentine I had my first client, a charity, wanting their users to have nutritional information and just like that I was in business and online too!

I have since run three separate courses for two different charities who support persons with mental health issues but was it all I wanted to do? I had more to offer, much more. One thing I knew, I didn’t want all that I had in my hands to go to waste. You see, I had spent some 20 years previously as a hair technician/trichologist and I knew I had a responsibility to my God to not let good talent go to waste, and I was very good at what I did. After much prayer I heard the words, why not merge the two? I just made sense! I couldn’t belive it, that was the answer, but not the way you think. I am not going back into the salon but desiring to work with other hair stylists and technicians to help them and their clients get better results.

Nutreatment is now live and exciting times lay ahead, the evolution continues. As an ex-stylist, although I am not sure you ever stop being one because I haven’t, I know how much continued education and self-empowerment benefits your business but even more beneficial, is client empowerment, a tool I often used in my clinic. I educated my clients and even fellow hair stylists I worked with. My work environment was a learning one and it worked. In my years of treating clients with hair and scalp disorders, I discovered healthy hair starts at a cellular level. This was evident in my years of treating women, in particular, with issues of hair loss due to hormonal issues, medication use or poor nutritional intakes and scalp issues but men have suffered too. If you would like to hear how I can help you and your clients, feel free to contact me, I would love to work with you.
